What is Pay Day and how do I manage it?
Pay Day is every Saturday. It is the day your kids receive their pay for the tasks they’ve completed throughout the week(s), as well as any allowance that has been set for them. Either way, it’s a great day!
When you set up a task, be it recurring or one-off, your child will always get paid on Pay Day (Saturday), provided they have completed the task and updated it in the app by the time the task is due.
Pay Day occurs between 9 am to 3 pm EST and 6 am to 12 pm PST on Saturdays! We completely understand how it would be more beneficial for kids to receive their pay first thing in the morning, and this is something our tech team is diligently working on making available in the near future.
Notes:
1. Please remind your kid(s) to go into the Earn tab in the app and mark off their completed tasks by Friday before their set of tasks are due, to ensure payment on Pay Day.
2. If you choose to set a recurring task at a cadence of 2 weeks, 3 weeks, or 4 weeks, the task will only pay out after your cadence has been completed, and not on a weekly basis. For example, if you set a recurring task at a cadence of 2 weeks, your child will get paid for the task every other Pay Day (Saturday). You can view the Pay Day for a task by selecting it in your ‘Earn’ tab.
3. When setting up a Weekly Allowance, you have the option to split the allowance between your child’s Spend and General Savings. You can dedicate a percentage of the allowance to automatically be moved into their General Savings, helping your child learn the importance of saving money.
