When does my child get paid for a task?

If you have set tasks throughout the week that your child has completed, they will get paid for those tasks provided your parent wallet balance covers their task payments.

Your child will get paid for their completed task(s) on Pay Day, which is every Saturday, depending on how often you would like for the task you set to be paid out1. This is done in an effort to mimic real life paydays that they may eventually experience in the workforce. It also aims to give children time to accumulate funds and make well thought out decisions on how to spend their money once they know to expect it in their Mydoh wallet!

If you would like to send funds to your child’s account instantaneously, you can of course still do that by sending them a one-time money transfer from your Mydoh parent wallet.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our support team via the in-app chat, or at hello@mydoh.ca!

Notes:
1. If you choose to set a recurring task at a cadence of 2 weeks, 3 weeks, or 4 weeks, the task will only payout after your cadence has been complete, and not on a weekly basis. For example, if you set a recurring task at a cadence of 2 weeks, your child will get paid for the task every other Payday (Saturday).

2. If you set a recurring task and categorize it as ‘All or Nothing’ your child will be paid out for the task after all instances have been completed. Otherwise, your child will be paid proportionate to the number of recurring task instances which they completed
